Also known as: Clown Anemonefish, True Percula Clownfish

The Amphiprion percula grows up to 3 1/2 inches.  The pair will come to you generally 2 to 3 inches for the male and 3 to 3 1/2 inches for the female not including the caudal fin.  The True Percula Clown - Pair prefers a tank of at least 20 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.  The Amphiprion percula is a omnivore and likes to eat variety of foods (meats & veggies).  The True Percula Clown - Pair is a medium maintenance fish.  The True Percula Clown - Pair may act semi-aggressively toward other fish.  Able to breed.  Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).  Indian Ocean.  Coexists with Heteractis magnifica, Stichodactyla mertensii, or S. gigantea. Amphiprion percula (Lacepede 1802), the "True" Percula or Orange Clownfish. Mutualistic with Stoichactis and Radianthus anemones. Clownfishes have everything going for them as aquarium specimens. They're hardy, behaviourally interesting, colorful, do well on all types of foods, & if you start with healthy specimens and meet their habitat requirements, they're human-responsive and long-lived.
