Also known as: Rose Bulb Anemone, Rose Bubble Anemone

True Rose Anemone (medium from Balli or Red Sea)

The anemone will come in all shapes depending if it's inflated or not with water.  As you can see between these two Photos, they can vary in appearance.  They are typically more like the first photo with the ends being inflated more much like a bubble tip.

The Rose Anemone has a salmon, orange, red color. Carnivore. The is generally aggressive toward other tankmates. Many consider the a medium-maintenance specimen. Has strong lighting needs.Symbiotic algae zooxanthellae are hosted within this organism. The Rose Bulb Anemone, Rose Bubble Anemone requires strong water flow. Appearance will vary significantly as each animal is slightly different due to food, lighting, location, current and depth. Bubble-Tip or Bulb-Tentacle Sea Anemone is historically the hardiest of large, naturally symbiotic Clownfish anemones for aquarium use... many more specimens are collected and received intact and in reasonably good health from the wild to distributors. Flowers of the sea? Hardly. Most anemones are marine; but they are definitely animals, just a step or two up from the "tissue-grade" life that is the sponges, phylum Porifera. The trade in these stinging-celled animals is brisk, and well it should be; many species are reasonably available and hardy, undemanding aquarium fare. This series offers an overview of aquatic life natural history, and captive care. This installment deals with the polypoid cnidarians (coelenterates) we call anemones. Anemones are seemingly ubiquitous fixtures in all these. Check out our Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F). The Rose Anemone is commonly collected from Indo-Pacific. Due to variations in growth of Anemones, it is difficult to pinpoint exact sizes. These sizes are very approximate and will not apply in all situations.
