Made primarily of limestone similar to that of Kalkwasser or Purple-Up™ but obviously dense (even more than regular Fiji Live Rock) so it doesn't over buffer the tank but does naturally allow a supply of high quality calcium and nutrients very beneficial to Reef Systems for great coral health, growth and reproduction. Whether used in a Reef or Fish Only System, under good Super Actinic 03 Blue lighting it's going to go from white to a "BRILLIANT PURPLE" in coralline algae! Depending upon depth in tank, position and your lighting spectrum gorgeous reds and greens are also observed in the last 3 years of testing we've done.
Do I need to even point out the incredible rock structures and shapes? Look at the caves, shapes and structure completely unique and freaking awesome for a Reef System or Fish Only tank.
Our Rock is FULLY CURED and has been culturing in our cycle tanks for upwards of 3 months so inhabit heavy beneficial bacteria and enzymes. No lighting is used on our culture tanks so the rock is being sold as "Base Rock" but has a strong filtration benefit to your system and will color much faster than any other rock available today anyway.
Density is a little more per square inch than normal Fiji but lighter in mass because of how porous with holes and caves the rock has thus making it less expensive by mass than even standard Fiji terms.
Don't let this one slip by. Save a lot if bought by the case but at minimum, get a few pieces and mix it up in your system which will mix in with any other live rock and once colored up will blend very nicely!

We normally have this rock sitting in our vats for some time to aquaculture them but for this one penny sale, they will be shipped dry. This means more rock for you but the bacteria on them will be dry which is okay. Once put in the tank just like the dry bacteria you buy in a store, it comes alive again. Anyway, we are just getting rid of the rock and our wet tanks at this facility are tore down while we move into our new facility so just wanted everyone to know. Hey, it's practically free anyway ;)
Average weight per rock 7-20 lbs (typically 6-12" each)
Shipping via Ground is perfectly fine for Base Rock with little loss to living organisms and beneficial bacteria.
