 Nassarius Snails are great critters to have in a reef. They get just below the surface of the sand and scavenge for any decaying matter. Not only are they beneficial scavengers, but the sand sifting helps maintain a clean environment in your tank and constantly plows the sand bed that helps rid the tank of unsighly Cyanobacteria (Red Slime Algae) that tends to carpet the bottom of your tanks sand bed. They are very reef friendly and are non-agressive. They grow to approximately .5 inches in length but will vary depending upon season.
