 The Hippocampus erectus grows up to 6 inches.  Seahorses generally come to you between 2 - 3 inches.  The Erectus Seahorse prefers a tank of at least 30 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.  The Hippocampus erectus is a carnivore and likes to eat variety of inverts (Mysis Shrimp, daphnia guppies, grass shrimp, mosquito larva) a few times/day.  The Erectus Seahorse is a high maintenance fish.  The Erectus Seahorse may act peacefully toward other fish.  This is a moderately hardy fish  Able to breed.  Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).  Southern Erectus hitch as babies.  These are captive bred in our facilities and we sell at about 3-4 months of age.  Already weined onto frozen mysis and love live copepods.
