The Elegance Coral has a gold, yellow, green color. Large polyp stony coral (LPS). Carnivore. It likes to eat Filter Feeding Invert Food, Meaty bits like raw shrimp, Silver Side and Mysis Shrimp. The Catalaphyllia species is generally aggressive toward other tankmates. Many consider the Catalaphyllia species a medium-maintenance specimen. Has strong lighting needs.Symbiotic algae zooxanthellae are hosted within this organism. The Elegant Coral requires intermediate water flow. The Catalaphyllia or Elegance Coral Skeleton is cone shaped on the bottom designed to sit in soft muddy substrate with deeply shaped valley inside. Polyps are elongated and can have colored tips in yellow, purple, pink, green or blue.

The Elegance coral is a moderate coral to maintain. Be sure to keep plenty of space between this coral and it's neighbor and take caution when handling as it is fragile and packs a pretty powerful sting. Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F). The Elegance Coral is commonly collected from Indo-Pacific. Due to variations in growth of Corals from depth, environment, flow, etc. it is impossible to pinpoint exact sizes. These sizes are very approximate and will not apply in all situations.SMALL is generally smaller than a baseball, MEDIUM is generally smaller than a softball and LARGE is generally larger than a softball.
