Fact: From what I've read all over the net, these shrimp practically don't exist in the USA and as far as I know, we are currently the only commercial supplier but are on a very limited supply as they are very difficult to import. We are currently working on US bred breeder stock but for now, these are adult sized shrimp going out as imported thus aren't graded and everyone is getting very good quality. They are truely an incredible shrimp with a beautifull deep blue to black appearance with Gold Eyes that really stand out! With some which are more on the light side or if they are scared (such as just after shipping) and pale in their blue color, black tiger stripes can be seen!

General Information
Blue Tiger Shrimp started appearing in the hobby in 2007 and are still highly sought after and relatively hard to find. Their popularity is due to their beautiful blue body color combined with bright orange/golden eyes. The blue color does not breed completely true and colors from blonde to extremely dark blue (almost black) can be expected. The orange/golden eyes are a recessive trait and that does breed true. It should be noted that blonde individuals of this species can produce blue offspring but I do not currently understand (and not sure anyone else does) exactly how the color of the parents effects the offspring.
Appearance
Blue Tigers have vertical black stripes (identical to Tiger Shrimp) and as noted above a blue color that ranges from blonde to extremely dark blue (almost black). Baby Blue Tigers look like regular tigers but as the shrimp grow their blue color will develop and grow darker as the shrimp matures. Blue Tigers that start developing their color when they are smaller generally are a darker blue as adults then individuals that start developing their color later.

However, 95% of orders which are for shrimp only are typically shipped USPS Priority by the choice of our customers and I havn't had one loss yet. if saving money is more important to you, this could be an option but just know you forfeit your arriva alive guarantee. Just use good judgement based on the weather between So.California where they are being shipped from to you. If you don't know the weather conditions, you can always check here where they can provide up to a 10 forecast.
Southern Californians & Lower Nevada Customers: Because our Farm is here in the Los Angeles basin, you can choose UPS Ground and it will get to you in one day.
Northern California, Upper Nevada, Utah and Arizona will arrive in 2 days in most cases via UPS Ground.
All other States including the most northern part of Nevada should consider USPS Priority for guaranteed 2-3 day service if you can't afford next day service as we recommend.
