This Gold Crowned Toadstool leather coral is a farmed coral, meaning that it was grown by someone, rather than harvested from the ocean. It's done very well in my tank. If you notice what looks like a string on the left-hand portion, that is a baby brittle-star! Also note the purple and green coralline algae on the rock behind the coral. This is an extremely hardy coral which can grow quite large. It is tolerant of a variety of conditions but prefers good light and low to medium water flow.
