The Cerithidae genus is generally peaceful toward other tankmates. Many consider the Cerithidae genus a low-maintenance specimen. Not venomous. Has lighting needs. The Cerith snail is great for eating hair algae on rocks and sand and tends to be a nocturnal feeder. Will also eat detritus and scavenge for meaty bits when algae is in short supply. Will bury in the sand to sleep. If algae becomes sparse, supplementation will be required. Feed dried seaweed wrapped around a rock and placed on substrate against the glass.
