A profusion of long red hairs on the abdomen and legs. The carapace is fringed with a pale orange border. Note - there can be colour variations: the ground colour can be a dark brown and the coloured hairs can be only pale orange, resulting in a much less striking appearance.
They also like having some shelter to creat a burrow in (e.g., a plant pot, a curved piece of bark on the ground).
