ABOUT THIS AD: Each Blue Palm Lollypop Tunicate (Nephtheis fascicularis) frag is sold 3-5 arm (aka head) sections per rock attatchement. This means how many "Palm Arms" you'll get as a frag coral. The image is of a mother colony of multiple arms. This ad is for 3-5 similar to the image. If you want a larger full mother colony, they typically have 8-15 arms per mother colony rock so you would just order how ever many palm arms you would want (ie. quantity of 2 here would mean you would get 6-10 heads/arms) and specify in your order that you want it to be a full mother colony and not 2 sepperate rock frags. We almost always send several extra arms as a bonus when buying a mother colony and the more you order, the more likely you'll get more freebies! You also get our "arrive alive guarantee" just as long as it meets our criteria of being shipped by Air Cargo or UPS Next Day Air AM service. USPS Express isn't covered as this is a 1-2 day delivery option and USPS is not a reliable source for shipping. Please call if you have any questions by clicking ( contact us ). Thank you
MORE INFO ON THE CORAL: The Blue Palm Coral originates from the shallow reefs of Indonesia and has a thick base with multiple branches, or stalks with asparagus-like heads. These asparagus-like heads are comprised of clusters of zooids that continually filter the water for food. It is common for the Blue Palm to drop their heads both during transit, and within the aquarium. During this time, the tunicate will cover itself with a clear mucous. This is not an indication of poor health. Within a short time, it will blossom and form new flower like heads. The Blue Palm is non-photosynthetic and has no lighting requirements, but should be placed in an area of strong water current. Though not nescessary (they eat dissolved matter), they will benefit from supplemental feeding with liquid plankton and other dissolved organic foods, as well as benefiting from the addition of iodine and trace elements.
SHIPPING: This item ships only Overnight Air or Air Cargo unless you reside in Southern California where UPS Ground will still get you there in a day.
