The Bali Metallic Green Candy Coral has a brown-green, blue-green, green-yellow color. Large polyp stony coral (LPS). Carnivore. It likes to eat Filter Feeding Invert Food, Meaty bits like raw shrimp, Silver Side and Mysis Shrimp. The Caulestrea furcata is generally peaceful toward other tankmates. Many consider the Caulestrea furcata a low-maintenance specimen. Has low lighting needs.Symbiotic algae zooxanthellae are hosted within this organism. The Candy Buttons Coral, Caulestrea, Big Pipe Coral, Candycane Coral, Trumpet Coral, Torch Coral requires low water flow. The Candy Coral or Caulestrea furcata is a great beginner coral for the new Reef Aquarist. Grows quickly and tolerates moderate light and flow.

Polyp is creamy to light green in color. Not to be confused with the brown polyp/green center Caulastrea Curvata which requires more intense lighting. The Candy Coral likes direct feedings of frozen mysis shrimp and silversides. Feed in the evenings after lights go out and feeding tentacles appear. Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F). The Bali Metallic Green Candy Coral is commonly collected from Bali. Due to variations in growth of Corals from depth, environment, flow, etc. it is impossible to pinpoint exact sizes. These sizes are very approximate and will not apply in all situations.
