Sea Lettuce is a nutritious alternative food source when algaes, such as Ogo, have been depleted in aquariums or are not available. Readily accepted by herbivorous fish as well as invertebrates like snails, abalone, sea hares and lettuce nudibranchs, it also removes phosphates and nitrates from the water. To increase the amount of nutrients this algae exports, keep in an area of high water flow, ideally tumbled in an algae filter.
