This is an increadible product that has many uses!

1.  REDUCE ALGAE & NITRATE PROBLEMS!
Use in a Refugium or Wet/Dry System to Reduce or Exterminiate most Unwanted Algae and Nitrate Problems!  Red Algae is a Macro Algae meaning it's larger than it's smaller counterpart MicroAlgae meaning it's larger in the food chain and competes for the same nutrients that promote algae growth such as Nitrates, Phosphates and Silicates!  As a result of using Red Seaweed to absorb these unwanted elements, especially in a Reef System, but as well in even fish only tanks to improve the water conditions for your fish, you end up taking away a major part that promotes the growth of unwanted microalgae that grows all over your rocks, sand and aquarium!  No chemicals are going to do a better job than mother nature!

2.  FISH FOOD!
Red seaweed is a very rich natural source of nutrients, vitamins and minerals including Calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, Magnesium, Iron, Manganese, Zinc , Vitamins C, B1, B2 and A.  Why buy dehydrated seaweed or use unnatural vegitation for your pets (ie. Crabs, Shrimp, Fish like Angels, Tangs, Triggers and other LOVE THIS STUFF!!!)  Red/Burgandy Algae is a Living and Very Healthy Natural Food!  Why substitute when you can feed the real stuff to your animals?
TANG'S LOVE ALGAE!!!!

3.  DECOR!
When we custom build our customers tanks, when ever possible, we use "Living Seaweed" to our systems for several reasons.  Living algae will help provide many natural things such as zooplankton carried on it back to your tank as well as many other benneficial things already mentioned but one very cool thing to do is use a seaweed such as red seaweed which lives longer and is more beautifull than it's green counterpart.  Just like in the picture above, place the seaweed into your gravel, sand or in between your live rock for a healthy and more natural look.  The ocean isn't all dry but some of the most beautifull areas in the ocean is full of macroalgae kelp gardens with brilliant looking vegitation of all colors!  There's no reason to still use plastic or silk plants anymore, is there?  With decent lighting and good conditions, red algae will thrive for months if not longer!  I have several customers that have had there red seaweed for over a year!  Enjoy a natural, beneficial look that will sway in the current naturally.

Living Reef ImportsLive Rock TIP:  Reef Enhancer elements help keep your kelp alive for a good long time.  Don't also forget that to grow a strong purple coralline algae (purple, green and red rock growth) you must have the necessary lighting consisting of 4watts per gallon of water as a rule of thumb and necessary trace elements of Iodine, Strontium, Molybdenum and liquid Calcium!  These are the big trick all the true reef and saltwater hobbyists growing extremely beautiful live rock are doing and understand!  The photo's below are links to these items which are a must and should be added to every order of live rock not just as a starter kit but they must be kept up on a regular basis!

Important Shipping Information:  As with any livestock, you should always choose the quickest form of shipping method you can afford in order to receive your animal(s) or livestock in the best condition possible.  Living Reef Imports LLC. pays to insure our customers products but in some circumstances depending upon shipper such as UPS, the item may only be covered for damage, loss or theft but not death or loss of quality too any perishable items such as fish, live rock, livesand, and most all other livestock because the customer chooses the slowest form of shipping.  Such shipping like parcel post may be fine for local customers but not for someone of considerable distance.  You, the customer has the ultimate choice though.  For further details and more information with UPS, you may visit their website direct at http://www.UPS.com .  We have nothing to gain by suggesting a more expensive shipping method.  We would just like to see all our customers receive their product in the fastest possible time and in the best possible condition!  After you choose your product and prior to any purchase commitment, you will be given several shipping options and their respective costs allowing you the ultimate choice of shipping.  Thanks for the opportunity to do business together.
