Modular filter system for reef aquaria up to 125 gallons for installation in the cabinet.

The Reef 500 filter system is a compact 3-stage unit for installation in the cabinet under the aquarium. The unit is of modular construction and can be enlarged or extended as required. The system comprises a pre-filtration module filled with sponge for performing mechanical filtration, a patented Turboflotor 1000 protein skimmer with venturi pump and needle wheel, and a post skimming trickle filter filled with Bactoballs for biological filtration. A purpose built glass sump is available as an option. This sump is designed to accommodate, in addition to the Reef 500, a Calcium Reactor and a Nitratereductor, for expansion of the system.
