The CRS first hit the scene with hobbyists paying upwards of $2500 each just a few years ago and now another hybrid has been developed known as the CBS or Crystal Black Shrimp. They are not only beautifull but can be kept with CRS without worry of throwing off the gene pool. All babies if parents are mixed will either come up Red or Black stripped. On occasion a very nice Burgandy Wine color is seen and some are starting to sell these as more valuable than even the CBS or CRS.
They recently reached America after making a huge fan base in Japan. These Shrimp are one of the most difficult to find freshwater shrimp anywhere and once mature at 4-5 months are very prolific. Guide to Keeping, Breeding & Grading Freshwater Crystal Red Shrimp (CRS)
Quality: We always cherry pick the very best for the quality you order. When you recieve your shipment, expect the shrimp to be faded in color some from being in a dark box for so long but we only carry the very best quality possible. In fact, we primarily only breed our highest quality shrimp for SSS quality (highest possible) and anything less is what is down graded to lower qualities but "will carry the SSS gene"! Anything of lesser value is typically put on sale or culled out so our gene pool isn't contaminated with lower grade genes.

"Our Live Arrive Guarantee" is valid for UPS Next Day Air AM or Overnight Air Cargo only however we do ship our shrimp in special Kordon Breathable bags with necessary packaging like Styrofoam boxes, heat or cold packs as needed. However, 95% of orders which are for shrimp only are typically shipped USPS Priority by the choice of our customers and I havn't had one loss yet. if saving money is more important to you, this could be an option but just know you forfeit your arriva alive guarantee. Just use good judgement based on the weather between So.California where they are being shipped from to you. If you don't know the weather conditions, you can always check here where they can provide up to a 10 forecast.
Southern Californians & Lower Nevada Customers: Because our Farm is here in the Los Angeles basin, you can choose UPS Ground and it will get to you in one day.
Northern California, Upper Nevada, Utah and Arizona will arrive in 2 days in most cases via UPS Ground.
All other States including the most northern part of Nevada should consider USPS Priority for guaranteed 2-3 day service if you can't afford next day service as we recommend.
